Report (Visit to Birla Auditorium)

The Department of Physics organized a visit to Birla Auditorium, Jaipur, for B.Sc. and M.Sc. Physics students on the occasion of the birth anniversary of former Prime Minister Shri Rajiv Gandhi, on 20th August, 2019. The event was organized by the Government of Rajasthan under ‘Rajasthan Innovation Vision’ (RAJIV).

The students visited the auditorium to attend the conference on ‘Exploring Renewable Energy Potential in the state of Rajasthan’. In the conference, they get knowledge of the various ways of harnessing the solar energy, which is abundantly availablein Rajasthan state. Currently, Rajasthan is the third largest solar power generation state in India. Then they visited the ‘Innovationexpo', an exhibition showcasing recent innovations in science and technology. The students interacted with various leading innovators and entrepreneurs regarding their displayed prototypes.  The visit encouraged the students about creative thinking and extended their vision about the use of renewable resources in technology.
