Overall Report of the activity:

Department of Physics, IIS deemed to be University, Jaipur organized an interactive session for its UG and PG students with  Dr. Narendra Jakhar  on the theme “Play with Physics: learning with Fun”. Dr Jakhar  shared his experiences and insights to enhance interest in Physics and make learning more engaging. Dr. Jakhar, who is currently serving as the Deputy Director of CDPE, University of Rajasthan, Jaipur, began his career as an executive geoscientist at India's most reputed Maharatana PSU ONGC Ltd. Later, he joined the University of Rajasthan as an Assistant Professor of Physics.

Dr. Jakhar explained basic principles of Physics by demonstration of experiments performed with the help of simple things that can be easily found in our households. He explained the law of inertia using glass, coin, and paper; demonstrated Bernoulli’s theorem with polythene bag; showed the different diffraction patterns with a help of small laser and slits made up of shaving blades. The students  actively involved in all the experiments

Dr. Jakhar also discussed the open organ pipe frequency and demonstrated the phenomenon of transverse waves, longitudinal waves, and standing waves using a spring experimentally.

The seminar was a valuable opportunity to learn from and engage with leading experts in the field of physics.
