Report: Guest Lecture

A Guest lecture on “Technical Presentation on Vacuum Technology and their uses” was organized by Physics department on 6 March 2017 at Physics Department, The IIS University. The guest speaker was Mr.P.Narendra Babu, Vice President Marketing, Hind High Vacuum Co. Pvt. Ltd., Delhi. They speak about their company profile and products regarding scientific uses. Hind High is a company manufacturing mainly vacuum based metallurgical equipment and large infrastructure special projects, which is the heart of the group serving the space, aerospace, and defence sectors. It has added to its manufacturing portfolio, equipment such as equipment to make solar photovoltaic (SPV) panels and modules, producing amorphous and crystalline solar modules, optical coatings and high end watch crystals. After that he discussed about products related to  thin film technology. HHV offers a range of laboratory coaters, large box type coatings systems, customized deposition equipment for special applications, robotic coaters for complex shape substrates, etc. They gave technical specification about the products for student knowledge enhancement. his lecture gave the students a deep insight into the techniques available for thin film deposition.
