List of Experiments

  1. Determination of Stefan’s constant.
  2. Determination of Planck’s constant using a Photocell.
  3. Determination of Planck’s constant using a solar cell.
  4. Determination of the recovery time of a diode.
  5. To measure the ratio of charge/mass (e/m), from electric and magnetic deflection.
  6. To Study of Solid state power supply using two diodes/bridge rectifiers with various filter circuits.
  7. To study characteristics of a GM counter.
  8. To estimate efficiency for a Gamma source/ Beta source.

NOTE - Students are expected to perform any six experiments from the given list. Two experiments out of the six will be set in the examination paper.

            The duration of the Practical Examination shall be 5 hours.

 

            The distribution of marks in the practical examination will be as follows:
