  • This course introduces students to the methods of experimental physics. 
  • Emphasis  is given on laboratory techniques such as accuracy of measurements.

List of Experiments   

1.To determine the wavelength of Sodium light by grating

2.To determine the dispersive power of a prism using Mercury light.

3.Using Newton’s rings find out the wavelength of the given monochromatic source.

4.To study the damping of a compound pendulum and to determine the quality factor. 

5.To study resonance in a series L C R circuit and determine Q factor of the circuit.

6.To determine the specific rotation of sugar by a polarimeter.
