The Department of Physics organised an orientation program for welcoming and guiding the new students. This program was designed to acquaint the freshers with the department's academic environment, resources, and faculty members who would be instrumental in their educational journey in the department.
The event was designed to welcome the newcomers, provide them with essential information about the department, and foster a sense of commitment through various activities. The event began with a warm welcome from the seniors. The presentation by the Head of Department Dr Nidhi Bhargava, was the highlight of the orientation. She extended a warm welcome to all the new students and provided an overview of the department’s activities and achievements. She also introduced the faculty members and lab assistants. This was followed by a series of activities organised by the senior students.
Team Building Activities like “Building Pyramid”, “Balancing the balloon on back”, and “Spelling the word backward” encouraged teamwork and cooperation among the new students. The combination of games and an insightful presentation by the Head of the Department created a positive and engaging start to their academic journey in the University.
The orientation came to an end with a vote of thanks from both students and faculty members.
