The Department of Physics organised an orientation program to welcome and guide the new students. The program was designed to acquaint the freshers with the department's academic environment, available resources, and faculty members who would play a significant role in their educational journey.
The event aimed to provide essential information about the department, foster a sense of belonging, and encourage commitment through various activities and events. It began with a warm welcome from the senior students. The highlight of the program was a presentation by Dr. Nidhi Bhargava, the Head of the Department, who warmly welcomed the new students and provided an overview of the department’s activities and achievements. She also introduced the faculty members.
This was followed by a series of engaging activities organised by the senior students. Team-building activities such as “Musical Chairs with a twist of Physics concept”, “Guess an Image of a Movie or Song”, and “Pick up the prop, which is in the song” encouraged teamwork, creativity, and cooperation among the freshers.
The blend of interactive games and the insightful presentation by the Head of the Department created a positive and engaging start to the students’ academic journey at the university.
