The Series of Lectures were delivered online by Prof. Dipan K. Ghosh, Department of Physics, Indian Institute of Technology Bombay Powai, Mumbai and lecture focused on the Two State Systems:

  • Lecture 1: Brief Introduction about Perturbation Theory on 5th Nov. 2020 at 11:00am -12:00Noon
  • Lecture 2: Diagonalizing the energy matrix, Time independent perturbation for a two state systems, the perturbation solution: weak field and strong field cases on 6thNov. 2020 at 11:00am -12:00Noon
  • Lecture 3: General description of a two state system: matrices; Ammonia molecule as an example of two state systems on 7th Nov. 2020 at 11:00am - 12:00Noon
  • Lecture 4: Kaons as a representative two state system matrices on 10th Nov. 20200 at 11:00am -12:00Noon

Prof. Dipan K. Ghosh explained about the development of Ammonia Molecule as a two state system of the theoretical concepts and found the Perturbation Solution under weak and strong electric field cases. During the lecture Prof. Ghosh interacted with the students and solved their queries. The PG (Pre- & final) students of Physics of about 22 in number attended these series of lectures and benefited from these lectures.
