The students will be able to –
CO143: describe basic properties of different renewable sources of energy and technologies for their utilization.
CO144: apply main elements of technical systems designed for utilization of renewable sources of energy.
CO145: able to interpret advantages and disadvantages of different renewable sources of energy.
CO146: analyse energy potential of renewable sources of energy like Solar energy, Wind energy, Ocean energy etc.
CO147: descibe the correlation between different operational parameters.
CO148: build up necessary skills to set up a unit for solar energy/wind energy in the State of Rajasthan where there is ample scope for such ventures. |
Approach in teaching: Interactive Lectures, Discussion, Tutorials, Demonstration, problem Solving in tutorials.

Ocean Thermal Energy Conversion (OTEC), Principle of operation, development of OTEC plants, Tidal and wave energy, Potential and conversion techniques, mini-hydel power plants.
Principles of Bio, Conversion, Anaerobic/aerobic digestion, types of Bio gas digesters, gas yield, combustion characteristics of biogas, utilization for cooking.
