Overall Report of the activity:
The alumni interaction for the B.Sc.(H) final year students of the physics department was organised on 24 June 2022. The interaction was addressed by our alumnus Dr. Rajni Verma who is currently working as an Assistant Professor at SMS Medical College, Jaipur. The primary motive of the session was to give Final Year students an opportunity to interact with their seniors who have entered the world of work and get their views on the challenges they would face when they graduate and how they should prepare themselves. The session commenced with a brief introduction of the invitee. She then explained the students about the different areas of physics and their scope and the various responsibilities in the world of physics specially in medical physics. She shared her own inspiring journey and many anecdotes from her time in The IIS (deemed to be) University. It was a very illuminating experience for everyone, especially those who want to pursue a career in Bio Physics. She was an amazing guide for us all and answered all our queries with utmost simplicity and accuracy regarding the different colleges and careers in physics. She welcomed all of us and encouraged us to be ready to face the upcoming difficulties and hard work and guided us to get through them with ease. The alumnus emphasized the importance of certifications that assisted them in their journey after graduation into the industry
Outcome: This interaction has definitely been proven useful to the students for understanding the need of the hour with respect to the industry.
